Canadian citizens
and permanent residents living in Canada, 18 years of age
or older, may sponsor close relatives or family members who
want to become permanent residents of Canada. Sponsors must
promise to support the relative or family member and accompanying
family members for a period of three to 10 years
to help them settle in Canada.

• Proof of rental earnings - Any other earnings to show
and calculate as per immigration regulation.
• Sponsoring a child, dependency issues over age of
22 years. To determine on the basis of information. To be
supported by his/her parents wholly or substantially.
• To determine by medical officer to be suffering from
physical or mental disability or incapable of supporting him/herself
by reason of such disability.
• To assist in explaining the concept of family dependency.
• Children over 22 years - Full time student in attendance
in an academic, professional program at university, college
or other educational institution.
• Essential financial support by parents.
• Break in study.
• Physical or Mental disability. - Medical examination
to prove such disability.
• Sponsoring under Humanitarian and Compassionate
grounds.
• Sponsoring spouse/common law. - Explaining basic requirements,
preparation for interview etc.
• Spouse can be sponsored from
within Canada. - explaining the requirements of such cases.
